The Azerbaijan e-Visa is an electronic travel authorization that allows nationals from 90 countries to enter Azerbaijan for various purposes, including tourism, business trips, cultural events, sports, humanitarian activities, and medical treatment.
Types of Azerbaijan e-Visa
Azerbaijan offers two types of e-Visas to cater to different travel needs:
1. Standard e-Visa
The standard e-Visa is perfect for those who plan their trips in advance. It is processed within 3 working days, giving you plenty of time to organize your travel details.
2. Urgent e-Visa
For those last-minute plans, the urgent e-Visa is a lifesaver. It is processed within just 3 hours, even on holidays and non-working days.
This means you can get your travel authorization almost instantly, making spontaneous trips possible.
The Azerbaijan e-Visa application is designed to be flexible and accommodating:
- Individual Application: Ideal for solo travelers.
- Family Application: For those traveling with family, you can apply for a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 persons.
- Group Application: Perfect for larger groups, such as tour groups or sports teams, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 300 persons.
Essential Requirements for Your Azerbaijan e-Visa Application
Before you start your Azerbaijan e-Visa application for Azerbaijan, make sure you have all the necessary documents and information ready.
This will ensure a smooth and hassle-free application process. Here’s what you need to know:
Passport Validity
- Passport Expiry: Your passport or travel document must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the expiry date of your e-Visa. For instance, if your e-Visa expires on December 31, your passport should be valid until at least March 31 of the following year.
Documents and Information Needed
Before you begin filling out the e-Visa application form, gather the following items:
- Scanned Passport Copy: A clear, scanned copy of your passport in .jpg format. Ensure the file size is less than 1 MB.
- Passport Number: Have your passport number with date of expiry handy.
- Accommodation Details: The name and address of the hotel where you will be staying in Azerbaijan.
- E-Visa Validity Start Date: Decide on the start date for your e-Visa validity. Remember, your e-Visa will be valid for travel within 90 days from this date.
The e-visa process is very simple and carried out in few simple steps.
How to Apply for the Azerbaijan e-Visa
Open official e-visa website: https://evisa.gov.az/en/
Once you start visa application, it has total 6 steps. The last one is payment
Step 1: Nationality/Citizenship
Citizens from 90 countries, including Austria, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, China, France, India, Malaysia, Netherlands, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Thailand, United States of America, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and others, are eligible to apply for an Azerbaijan visa. Step 2: Arrival Date in Country
The starting date of e-visa validity means the date from which your e-visa becomes active, and you are allowed to enter the country. You have 90 days from this date to use your e-visa for travel.
Step 3: Personal Information
* Clear scanned copy of passport is required to upload in .jpg and less than 1 Mb
* Check examples of frequently made mistakes
* The information that you provide must match the information on your passport.
* If you enter incorrect information that does not match the details on your passport, your visa will be rejected, and the visa fee will not be refunded. Make sure to double-check all details before submitting.
**If you have visited the Nagorno-Karabakh and other regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan occupied by the Republic of Armenia after 1991, you may not be allowed to enter the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan regardless of whether or not you have obtained an electronic visa.
Step 4: Email Verification
If you do not receive an email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folders.
e-Visa Fee
The fee for standard e-Visa is 20 US Dollars. Additionally, an amount of 5 (five) US dollars is charged as a service fee for processing an electronic visa application.
Received e-Visa
I received an email within three working days stating, “Your visa is ready,” with a download button for the visa.
