Where Every Step in Pakistan Tells a New Story
Having spent nearly half of my life overseas, I’ve explored 18 countries across four continents. Traveling has never been just about ticking destinations off a list—it’s about the experiences, the people, and the cultures I’ve encountered along the way. Every journey adds a new chapter, shaping who I am as a person and as a blogger.

Pakistan is a treasure trove for adventurers and culture seekers, offering a diverse landscape that ranges from towering mountains to lush valleys and vibrant cities.
While bustling urban centers like Karachi and Lahore can be overwhelming, the country’s natural beauty shines in its northern regions, where breathtaking trails and stunning scenery await.
Many international travelers flock to Pakistan for iconic treks, such as the K2 Base Camp trek and the Fairy Meadows trek, both of which offer unparalleled views of some of the world’s highest peaks. The majestic Himalayas and Karakoram ranges are truly awe-inspiring, making Pakistan a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
The main international airports for foreign tourists in Pakistan are Islamabad (ISB), Lahore (LHE), and Karachi (KHI), offering direct flights from various countries.
For travellers heading to northern areas like Skardu and other mountainous regions, options include domestic flights from these cities to Skardu or bus services from Islamabad.
Train travel is also a cheaper and convenient option for intercit travel, particularly for routes like Karachi to Islamabad or Lahore and vice versa.
Additionally, for local transportation within cities, popular ride-hailing apps such as InDrive and Yango provide reliable and efficient alternatives to traditional taxis, as Uber is no longer operational in Pakistan.
Pakistan has seen improvements in safety for tourists over recent years. The overall crime rate is relatively low, with violent crime statistics significantly below the global average. However, travelers should remain vigilant and informed about local conditions.
The most significant risks often arise from traffic accidents in busy urban areas. It’s advisable to follow local advice and stay updated on travel advisories.
The climate in Pakistan varies significantly with altitude. The best time for trekking in the northern regions is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is stable and skies are clear.
Southern regions like Karachi and Lahore are best visited between October and March.
Pakistan is one of the most affordable countries to travel to, with budget accommodations typically starting around PKR 2,000 ($7 USD) for hostels or guesthouses.
Meals can range from PKR 400 to 10,000 ($1.5-35 USD) depending on location and dining style.
